The Old Auto-Bio
For the first 12 years of my existence I resided in the great nation of Texas. Since then I have been roaming around Colorful Colorado, spending some time in Winter Park, a little more time in Boulder, and now the Mile High City.
After I graduated from CU Boulder in the spring of 2010, I went to work as a project manager for a massive software localization firm called SDL International. That was fun and all, but after more than a year of working 60+ hour weeks and lending bits of my soul to The Man, I quit that job while on a training assignment in Montreal. I never will be able to have a normal memory of Canada…
Within two weeks of quitting that job, I got a new one as a writer; that’s right! I was writing blogs for a start-up search maketing company in Parker, Colorado called Ethical SEO Consulting. That job (writing 3,200 words a day for 10$ / hour) would eventually blossom into my current role as lead SEO strategist. I have found an industry, and more importantly a community of which I am proud to be a part, and I could not feel more blessed than I do about it.
What you can expect from this here website
I love writing about ways to increase organic and local rankings, and this site exists so that I can share of specific and actionable ways that the average anybody can do just that. I will post new stuff two or three times a week and I will always be as transparent and open with the strategies I impart as I am capable of being. From time to time I will give an opinion or two on a given topic in the search world, but for the most part I’ll strive to make every post actionable and immediately useful.
